At Sumo An Kyoto you can experience the richness and depth of one of
Japan’s most ancient traditions, in a unique, fun and informative way. Our top division and amateur champion wrestlers and expert hosts will guide you on a journey through this unique and ancient tradition. Learn the various “morning exercises” that wrestlers practice for hours every day. Learn some of the techniques used in Sumo. Watch actual live sumo matches and finally take part in our “Customer Challenge” where you do some training and
then try your strength against a real Sumo Rikishi. Or better (and safer) still, have one of your friends or family try the challenge!
Please note that meals are served during the 12:00 and 18:00 sessions.
The 15:00 session includes light snacks only.
