Discover the Kamikochi valley and the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route on a 2-day tour from Nagoya. Stay overnight at a hotel in Hakuba and enjoy a dinner of local cuisine.
Day 1: Nagoya to Kamikochi Valley
Meet your group at Nagoya Station and set off on a scenic journey to Kamikochi Valley, arriving around midday. Enjoy 4 hours to explore the valley at your own pace, choosing between two suggested walking routes.
Opt for the shorter route, which takes you from the Taisho Pond bus stop past Taisho Pond, Tashiro Pond, and on to Kappa Bridge and the Kamikochi bus terminal. This route covers about 3.5 km on flat, well-maintained paths and takes 1 to 1.5 hours.
Alternatively, take the longer route, which continues from Kappa Bridge along the Azusa River past the Dakesawa Marsh to Myojin Bridge, Myojin Pond, and Hotaka Shrine Okumiya, then returns. This route is about 5.6 km round trip and takes 2 to 2.5 hours.
After your walk, leave Kamikochi and check in at the Hakuba Sun Valley Hotel, where you’ll enjoy a dinner featuring local Hakuba cooking.
Day 2: Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Ogizawa and begin your journey along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, crossing the Northern Japan Alps. Travel through the mountains using six separate transport systems, including a tunnel electric bus, cable car, and the Tateyama Ropeway.
Stop at Kurobe Dam, Japan's tallest dam, and admire the views from Murodo, the highest point on the route. Continue through the old-growth beech and cedar forest of Bijodaira before reaching Tateyama Station.
Reassemble with your group at Tateyama Station and return to Nagoya Station, arriving in the evening.

Walking in Kamikochi and between transfers on the Alpine Route is done at your own pace.
Meet at the station square outside the Taiko-dori Exit, on the west side of Nagoya Station — the same side as the Shinkansen ticket gates. From inside the station, follow the signs for "Taiko-dori Exit / 太閤通口" and go outside. The meeting area is the open plaza directly in front of the exit, near the entrance to the ESCA underground shopping mall.
Please arrive by 07:50. The group departs at 08:00.
Your tour host will be waiting in the plaza holding a sign showing the tour name. Several tour groups gather in this plaza in the morning, so please check the sign before boarding.
This is a scheduled group departure and the vehicle cannot wait for latecomers. If you cannot locate the group, call the emergency contact number shown on your voucher.
