Shikotsu Lake Ice Festival（Jan 31-Feb 23） The Shikotsu Lake Ice Festival is a spectacular winter ice event held in the Shikotsu Lake Onsen Area, Chitose City, Hokkaido. It features unique ice sculptures formed by freezing lake water spray, boasting dreamy landscapes that vary between day and night. Ice sculptures are naturally formed by spraying highly transparent Shikotsu Lake water onto frames. They glow with the iconic "Shikotsu Lake Blue" in daylight and turn into a magical display under colored lights at night.

11:00 Assemble and depart from the designated location in Sapporo (Sapporo downtown hotels) . Winter roads are slippery—confirm safe driving arrangements with the driver in advance.
12:15 Arrive at the venue of Shikotsu Lake Ice Festival (Shikotsu Lake Onsen Area) Purchase admission tickets (approx. ¥1,000 per person); explore the ice sculptures in daylight and take photos of Shikotsu Lake’s "dreamy blue" ice art Store luggage at the visitor center and rent cold-proof gear if needed
12:15–13:30 Daytime tour of the ice festival + light snacks by the lake Admire various ice sculpture works; try fun activities like the ice slide; grab grilled scallops and hot drinks at the park’s food stalls Simple meals are available in the venue, or you can bring portable snacks

On non-festival days, we will substitute with alternative activities at Shikotsu Lake including lake cruises and snowmobiling, followed by a visit to the Shikotsu Lake Onsen, a stroll along the forest trail, and a stop at the local market. This remains a 10-hour private group tour with a dedicated vehicle.
