Description

Traveling by slow boat will allow you to experience the beautiful natural scenery and lifestyle of the communities along the Mekong River up close.
"Travelers taking the slow boat from Huay Xai to Luang Prabang will experience and see the following beautiful sights along the way."

DAY 1: CHIANG MAI - HUAY XAI.

1. Start with you take bus from chiang mai (the bus leaving 8:30 a.m).
2. Travel to the Chiang Khong border (approximately 5-6 hours).
3. When you arrive in Chiang Khong, The border of Thailand You will need to take a shuttle bus across to the Laos border (Huey Xai).
4. Afterward, You will meet our team when you arrive. Huay Xai, Laos' border.
5. Once you finish with your passport, our staff will take you to the hotel. Stop overnight at Huay Xai (It is recommended that you book accommodation in advance.)

DAY 2: HUAY XAI - PAK BENG.
1. At time 09:00 am. You take you on the slow boat.
2. The boat will travel down the Mekong River to Pakbeng (approximately 11 hours journey).
3. Arrive at Pak Beng in the evening and Stay overnight at Pak Beng for another night. (It is recommended to book accommodation in advance.)

DAY 3: PAK BENG - LUANG PRABANG.

1. You come back to check in before 08:30 am at Pier.
2. Continue the slow boat journey from Pak Beng to Luang Prabang (approximately 9 hours journey).
3. Arrive in Luang Prabang Slow Boat Terminal in the afternoon or evening at 5 pm.
