Description

Embark on a memorable journey by van to the Thai-Lao border and cross the border comfortably overnight stays in Huay Xai and Pak Beng, and take in the stunning views en route to Luang Prabang.
Day 1: Chiang Mai to Huay Xai
9:30 a.m Start your journey in Chiang Mai, where you'll be picked up from the CoolMueang Coffee shop. Travel to Chiang Khong, where you'll cross the border into Laos. Upon arrival, apply for a visa on arrival and head to your hotel in Huay Xai. Spend the night in Huay Xai (accommodation not included).

Day 2: Huay Xai to Pak Beng
Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Huay Xai and head to the slow boat pier. Board the slow boat and cruise along the Mekong River to Pak Beng. Enjoy the scenic views and relax on the deck. Spend the night in Pak Beng (accommodation not included).

Day 3: Pak Beng to Luang Prabang
Check in before 8:30 AM and continue your journey on the slow boat from Pak Beng to Luang Prabang. Arrive at the Luang Prabang Pier around 5:30 PM.

During the trip, enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset over the Mekong River, a truly romantic experience. If you love fishing,
bring your fishing equipment with you. Sit back and relax on the deck, enjoy the view, and breathe in the fresh air.
