Your journey begins with a drive across Mongolia’s vast steppe to Elsen Tasarkhai, where the landscape is a striking mix of sandy patches, rolling hills, rivers, and scattered trees. Upon arrival, you’ll stay with a local nomadic family, experiencing their warm hospitality and daily life. Ride camels across sandy stretches, explore hills and riverbanks, and see how nomads live in harmony with the land.
The next day, travel to Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit a historic monastery and the Karakorum Museum to learn about 13th-century history and the legacy of Genghis Khan. You’ll also explore a local market, meet residents, and discover traditional products, gaining an authentic glimpse of everyday Mongolian life.
