Description

Discover the beauty of Central Mongolia on a 7-day tour from Ulaanbaatar. Visit the Erdenezuu Monastery, stay with a nomadic family, relax in the Tsenher hot spa, and explore the Mini Gobi.
Day 1: Drive to Kharakhorum village to visit the ancient Buddhist monastery Erdenezuu, located in the Orkhon Valley. Explore the 13th-century Mongol Empire at the Kharakhorum Museum. Spend the night in a traditional Mongolian ger.

Day 2: Head to Orkhon Waterfall, a perfect spot for hiking and relaxation. Enjoy horse riding with local horseboys and stay with a nomadic family.

Day 3: Spend another day with the nomadic family, experiencing their way of life. Enjoy a traditional Mongolian barbecue and take in the stunning surroundings.

Day 4: Drive to Tsenher Hot Spa. Relax in natural hot springs, take a hot shower, and recharge your camera batteries. Stay at a tourist camp. On the way, visit a nomadic family to try fresh airag (fermented mare’s milk).

Day 5: Drive to Terkh White Lake. Stay in a ger by the lake, where you can see thousands of stars at night. Enjoy hiking, swimming, or fishing (bring your own gear). Visit Khorgo Volcano and explore the small forests of larch trees and diverse flora and fauna.

Day 6: Travel to Mini Gobi Mongol sand, also known as Elsentasarhai. Hike or sled on the sand dunes and enjoy a camel ride. The area is a beautiful combination of green grass, sand dunes, trees, rocky mountains, and a lake full of water birds.

Day 7: Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Visit Hustai National Park to see wild Przewalski horses. Your guide and driver will drop you off at your hotel.
