Begin your adventure with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Travel in a comfortable 4WD vehicle to Khustai National Park, arriving just as the sun rises. Visit the park’s information center to learn about the conservation efforts and the reintroduction of the iconic Takhi (Przewalski’s horse).
Drive into the core zone with your guide to search for wild Takhi herds, red deer, marmots, and native birds as they graze in the early morning light. Then, visit an authentic nomadic ger to learn about daily life on the steppe, sample traditional dairy products, and experience local hospitality.
Enjoy a hearty full-course lunch at the resort inside the park or at a local ger camp. After lunch, saddle up for a 1-hour horse riding adventure through the open steppes, guided by experienced local horsemen.
