Join a local guide and explore the iconic Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque. Completed in 1994 to mark the monarch’s 25th year of rule, the mosque has 29 golden domes to honor the 29th ruler of Brunei.
Continue to the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. Admire the renowned beauty of the mosque with its glowing golden dome and tall marble walls.
Continue to the Royal Regalia Museum, which houses the regalia of the Sultan and the royalty. It also exhibits the commemorations of the Silver and Golden Jubilee celebrations of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s rule.
Explore Kampong Ayer, known as the “Venice of the East.” This stretch of settlements on stilts is a must-visit for any tourist to Brunei. Start with a scenic boat ride on the Brunei River by water taxi, before taking a walk along wooden paths and bridges rich in Brunei culture and history.
Complete your experience by visiting one of the local houses where traditional cakes and tea will be served. Finally, drive to Nurul Iman Palace, the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei. There will be opportunities for photo taking at the front gate of the palace.
