Begin your experience early in the morning at Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the famous Monkey Temple. From the hilltop viewpoint, capture a breathtaking sunrise over the Kathmandu Valley as golden light illuminates the ancient stupa, prayer flags, and surrounding temples. Your guide will help you find the best angles and compositions to photograph the iconic Buddhist monument and playful monkeys around the temple complex.

After sunrise, continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with historic palaces, pagoda-style temples, and detailed wood carvings. This area offers endless opportunities for architectural and cultural photography. Your guide will share insights about local traditions and offer tips on composition, lighting, and respectful photography when capturing cultural heritage and local people.

Next, explore the vibrant streets of Asan Market and Indra Chowk, some of the oldest trading areas in Kathmandu. Here you’ll photograph colorful spice stalls, street vendors, handmade crafts, and the daily life of local residents. The markets provide perfect opportunities for dynamic street photography and authentic cultural shots.

During the tour, there is an optional lunch break at a traditional Nepali restaurant or café where you can also photograph local dishes and the lively dining atmosphere.

In the afternoon or evening, enjoy a flexible photo walk through Thamel, Kathmandu’s famous traveler district. Capture the vibrant street life, shops, and cafés, or photograph the warm golden light of sunset over the city depending on the time of the tour.
