Description

Discover the Himalayas on a guided tour. Explore the Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang, Mustang, and Dolpo regions, and enjoy a personalized adventure with a local guide.
The Langtang Valley Trek is a scenic journey through one of Nepal's most beautiful and culturally rich Himalayan regions, located just north of Kathmandu within Langtang National Park. This moderate trek typically spans 7-10 days, offering a blend of majestic mountain views, rich Tamang culture, lush forests and high alpine terrain.

The trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, followed by a gradual ascent through rhododendron, pine and bamboo forests, along the Lantang Khola(river). As you progress, traditional Tamang and Tibetan-influenced villages such as Lama Hotel, Langtang village and Kyanjin Gompa offer warm hospitality in teahouses.

At the heart of the trek lies Kyanjin Gompa(3,870m), a charming high-altitude settlement surrounded by peaks like Langtang Lirung(7,227m). Here, trekkers can enjoy rest, explore ancient monasteries, visit the local cheese factory and take acclimatization hikes to stunning viewpoints like Kyanjin Ri(4,773m) or Tserko Ri(4,984m) for breathtaking 360 degree views of snow-capped giants.

The Langtang region was heavily affected by the 2015 earthquake, but the trail and villages have since been rebuilt and revitalized, offering an inspiring example of resilience and welcoming hospitality. The trek ends with a descent back to Sybrubesi and a drive to Kathmandu. This trek is ideal for those seeking a less-crowded, culturally immersive and moderately challenging Himalayan experience, suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers.
