Uganda: 4-Day Bwindi Budget Gorilla Trekking Tour

Embark on a budget-friendly adventure where you’ll trek through the misty jungles of Bwindi to encounter majestic mountain gorillas. Continue with a thrilling safari in Lake Mburo National Park, home to stunning wildlife and picturesque landscapes. Finally, unwind with a relaxing tour of Lake Bunyonyi, known for its breathtaking beauty.

Meet your driver guide at your pickup point and drive to Lake Mburo. Along the way, stop at Kayabwe at the Equator Landmark where you will have an experience of the earth's rotation effect using water. Take a short tour of several crafts shops before heading to Lake Mburo. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the park view from your room.

Rise early for breakfast and head for a morning game drive. Expect to see antelopes, zebras, topi, impalas, buffaloes, and other savannah animals. After the game drive, head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the view of the forest from your room. Meet your guide in the evening for a briefing on what is required for the trek.

The next day, set off to the park entrance main gate. Your guide will support you with the documentation at the clerk's desk as you enjoy traditional dance. Be briefed by a Uganda wildlife guide on what the whole activity will be like. After the briefing, be assigned a group for trekking. The trek usually takes 1-5 hours depending on the group you have been given to trek. Receive a certificate after the trek.

Move to Lake Bunyonyi where you will be spending the night. Wake up early for breakfast and enjoy a 2-hour boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. Take in the beautiful islands, birds, and the famous Punishment Island. After the boat ride, head to Entebbe, marking the end of your tour.
