The 3-day Pian Upe Conservation Reserve adventure is made for travelers who want more than an ordinary safari. It is a journey across changing landscapes, from green farms and mountain roads to endless golden plains where wildlife still moves freely and the silence of nature makes every moment feel special.

Pian Upe is Uganda's second-largest protected area and one of its least visited wildlife reserves. Unlike crowded safari parks, this hidden wilderness gives you the exciting feeling of being a real explorer. Wide open grasslands, rocky hills, beautiful sunsets, and very few safari vehicles make every game drive feel personal. It is one of the few places in Uganda where you can look for the rare roan antelope, large herds of eland, and even cheetahs on the open plains if luck is on your side.

Day 1 – Journey to Pian Upe Conservation Reserve
The guide will pick you up from the pick up location. The travel will take you to Northeast through Jinja and Mbale, you watch Uganda's landscape slowly change from busy towns to quiet villages surrounded by green hills and farms.

By afternoon, you arrive at Pian Upe Conservation Reserve, and you will check in to your accommodation then relax from the journey.
Every corner of the reserve feels different, and because there are very few visitors, wildlife sightings feel even more exciting.

As the sunsets over the plains, you will have the view from your accommodation then have dinner.

Day 2 – The Ultimate Wilderness Experience
You will have an early morning breakfast, then go into the wild for a safari.
Drive across the open plains as your guide tracks fresh animal movements. Every moment feels unpredictable, making each sighting even more rewarding.

After the drive, you will have a guided walking safari with an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger.

You will learn how to follow fresh animal footprints, recognize wildlife tracks, identify different birds, and understand how animals survive in this dry and beautiful landscape.

After lunch, we will relax before setting out for an evening game drive.
Return to camp for dinner

Day 3 – Farewell to the Wilderness
You will start the day with an early breakfast.
Check out, then begin the journey back to Kampala. Optional stops for local fruits, crafts, or refreshments along the way make the drive even more enjoyable.

By evening, you arrive back in Kampala with unforgettable memories of one of Uganda's most adventurous hidden safari destinations.
