Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Head to Nakiwogo landing site, where a private boat will be waiting for you.
Take a relaxing boat ride on Lake Victoria to Mabamba Swamp, enjoying views of the lake and its birdlife. Upon arrival, follow a local guide to track the elusive shoebill in the swamp, one of the best experiences in the area.
Next, embark on a community tour led by a local guide starting with the local music and dance scene. Learn about local food growing, especially matoke and sweet potatoes. Participate in cooking lessons, where you can either observe or directly participate in the cooking process of local dishes.
Afterward, take an optional nature walk to catch a glimpse of vervet monkeys. Conclude your day with a delicious lunch before heading back to the boat. Return to Nakiwogo Island, where a car will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
