Begin your adventure with an early morning pickup in Cusco and a drive to Calca. Meet your guide and horse handler, receive a short briefing and riding instructions, and set off on your journey.
Ascend through terraced farmland, native flora, and highland trails with spectacular views of snowcapped peaks and the Vilcanota River. Reach the high pass at approximately 4,000 meters, where you can rest and enjoy panoramic mountain scenery before descending toward Huchuy Qosqo.
Arrive at the archaeological site, enjoy a picnic lunch, and then explore the inca remains on foot with your guide, learning about Inca architecture, ceremonial platforms, and local history.
