FD: Ica, Paracas - Ballestas Islands - Huacachina Excursion

Enjoy the best of Ica in a single day, visit the Ballestas Islands, the Paracas Candelabra and its iconic beaches, connect with the Huacachina Oasis, and have fun in the buggies on the dunes.
We'll start this adventure by picking you up from your hotel in Lima (San Isidro, Miraflores, Barranco) at 4:00 AM and driving south for approximately 4 hours on the legendary Pan-American Highway to Paracas. You'll marvel at the stunning views of the Andes Mountains and coastal valleys along the way. We'll stop for a drink and a light meal.

Get ready to explore this incredible feat of engineering that connects the Americas from north to south!

Once we arrive, we'll begin the sightseeing tour of the Ballestas Islands, a scenic ride through stunning rock formations and sparkling blue waters. Fifteen minutes after the start of the boat trip, we will make our first stop at El Candelabro, an important geoglyph representative of the Paracas culture. We'll continue sailing for about 20 more minutes until we reach the different rock formations that make up the islands. Here we will observe sea lions, cormorants, pelicans, and Humboldt penguins, many of which are endemic to Peru, as well as other sea birds that bring life to the breathtaking seascape, while our bilingual tour guide explains everything there is to know about the islands throughout the tour.

Back at the pier, you will have a short period of free time, as your transport to the city of Ica begins at 10:30 a.m.
You will visit the artisanal wineries and vineyards to learn about the history and production of wine and pisco, as well as taste these emblematic Peruvian drinks. Afterward, you will have free time for lunch at a typical local restaurant.

We will head towards one of the most beautiful places in the Peruvian desert: Huacachina Oasis, a beautiful place surrounded by palm trees and huarangos where you can enjoy the tranquility of the place. Now the adventure begins. You can experience the adrenaline rush of riding in buggies and doing adventure sports like sandboarding in the immense dunes that surround the Oasis.

To end this adventure-filled sightseeing tour, we will return to the city of Lima, arriving at 9:00 PM. We hope you have enjoyed all the activities.
