Description

Live a local experience with piranha fishing and bird watching. We will use traditional techniques and attend a unique natural spectacle.
We will pick you up at the indicated time at an agreed location in Puerto Maldonado. From there we will begin a journey of about 30 minutes until we reach what is known as the entrance to the Peruvian jungle. We will walk through nature until we meet the Madre de Dios River.

We will board a canoe and, from the water, we will have a unique panoramic view of lakes and palm groves. We will stop in the heart of the Madre de Dios River to practice piranha fishing for an hour. It is one of the most deeply rooted traditions in the area. Let's see how many you catch!

After the experience, we will resume our trip back to shore. The canoe will run aground very close to the emblematic Clay Lick. We will stand next to this clay wall to watch, for half an hour, how a hundred birds feed on the salts and minerals contained in the mud.

We will leave Clay Lick and return to the canoe for the return trip. Three hours later we will return and conclude with piranha fishing and bird watching.
