Description
Tick Triglav off your list the right way. Two days, an IFMGA guide, full gear, and a small group of a maximum of six. Door to trailhead and back.
Every Slovenian has to climb Triglav at least once. If you're visiting Slovenia and you're fit enough, this is the one. Two days, one hut night just below the summit, and a certified IFMGA mountain guide leading a group of no more than six people to the top of the highest peak in Slovenia.
Day one starts with a pickup from your accommodation in Bled and a 45-minute transfer to Krma Valley, one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in the Julian Alps. From there, you follow the gentlest and most rewarding route to the summit, climbing steadily through forest, mountain pastures, and open alpine terrain. After around five hours, you arrive at Kredarica Hut at 2,515 metres, the highest staffed mountain hut in Slovenia, where you spend the night with views that most people only see in photographs.
Day two is about the summit. Your guide picks the best timing based on live weather conditions: early morning for sunrise, or afternoon if the forecast suits it better. The final 400 metres is a via ferrata section: steel cables, exposed rock, and the kind of climbing that gets your heart going. Your helmet, harness, and via ferrata set are already included. At the top stands Aljažev stolp, the small iron tower that marks the roof of Slovenia at 2,864 metres. Take a moment. You've earned it.
Our guides are IFMGA certified - the highest international qualification for mountain guides, recognised in over 25 countries. We cap every group at six people, which means your guide knows your name, your pace, and your limits.
We handle the hut booking before you arrive, so your beds are confirmed. And we pick you up from your hotel in Bled. No navigating to a trailhead you've never seen.
Unlike fixed-schedule tours, we don't lock in the summit attempt before we see the weather. Your guide will assess conditions on arrival at the hut and choose the best window: afternoon of day one or morning of day two. This flexibility is the single biggest factor in whether you reach the top. Afternoon thunderstorms on Triglav are common and serious. We plan around them so you don't have to.
We hold a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and has been guiding climbers on Triglav for years from our base in Bled. Kredarica Hut beds fill up fast in July and August, book early and we'll secure your dates. If the weather makes climbing unsafe on your days, we reschedule or refund in full.
