Begin your adventure with a convenient hotel pickup from Colombo in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Travel south towards Ridiyagama Safari Park, located in the Ambalantota area of Sri Lanka's Southern Province.
During the journey, enjoy a complimentary refreshing King Coconut or fresh juice. On arrival, meet your experienced safari guide and board your private safari jeep. Set off on a 2–3-hour safari through the park's different wildlife zones.
Visit the African Lion Zone and look for African lions in their dedicated habitat. Continue to the Bengal Tiger Zone, where you can observe Bengal tigers. The Elephant Zone offers the opportunity to see both Asian and African elephants, one of the distinctive features of the Ridiyagama experience.
Continue through the herbivore areas, where you may see spotted deer, sambar deer, blackbuck, Arabian oryx, wild buffalo, wild horses, wild boar, zebras, ostriches, and hippopotamuses. The Small Animal Zone also features animals and birds such as peacocks, macaws, cockatoos, emus, swans, parrots, porcupines, tortoises, and rabbits.
Your safari guide will accompany you throughout the experience and provide information about the animals, their habitats, and the different zones. After the safari, leave Ridiyagama and relax during your return journey to Colombo. You will be dropped back at your hotel, completing your private wildlife day trip.
