When you disembark from your cruise ship at the Punta del Este Cruise Port, simply head towards the wharf exit. There, our Blanco Tour Uruguay coordinator and tour guide will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it to welcome you and begin this shared experience to discover the main attractions of Punta del Este.
During the tour, we'll learn about the history, culture, and identity of one of Uruguay's most renowned tourist destinations. We'll start by exploring the traditional area of the peninsula, where we'll visit the historic Punta del Este Lighthouse and the Chapel of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, two places closely linked to the origins and evolution of the seaside resort.
We'll continue to Playa Brava, one of the most iconic landscapes of Punta del Este, where we'll find the famous sculpture "La Mano," known internationally as "Los Dedos." We'll have the opportunity to learn about its history and enjoy the surroundings of this renowned beach.
The tour will continue through some of the most exclusive residential areas of the city, including the Beverly Hills and San Rafael neighborhoods, where we can appreciate their characteristic residences, gardens, and architecture that reflects the development of Punta del Este as an international destination.
We'll then head to Punta Ballena, enjoying its spectacular panoramic views of the coast and the Atlantic Ocean. There, we'll visit Casapueblo, the unique work of the Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró, built on the mountain facing the sea. The entrance ticket to Casapueblo is included in the sightseeing tour, allowing us to speed up admission and avoid the ticket lines. We'll have approximately 30 to 40 minutes to explore this iconic place, enjoy its spaces, and admire the scenery.
Finally, we'll tour the traditional Gorlero Avenue, the commercial and tourist heart of the peninsula. Depending on the time available and the day's conditions, we may make a short stop to walk, explore the surroundings, and have some free time.
This sightseeing tour combines history, culture, architecture, beaches, and landscapes to offer an authentic and complete view of Punta del Este, always taking into account the cruise ship's arrival and departure times.
