As his son, he followed in his footsteps and worked in the red light district and later as a bouncer in the most famous clubs on the Reeperbahn.
Today, Pumpi has left that life behind and works as a garbage collector for the city of Hamburg, keeping the neighborhood clean. He's also a real powerhouse: two-time German champion in powerlifting!
