Our tour guide André, better known as Pumpi, is a real St. Pauli old-timer. He's been hanging out in the Hamburg neighborhood for over 20 years, and his dad was active here too. As his son, he followed in his footsteps and worked in the red light district and later as a bouncer in the most famous clubs on the Reeperbahn.
Today, Pumpi has left that life behind and works as a garbage collector for the city of Hamburg, keeping the neighborhood clean. He's also a real powerhouse: two-time German champion in powerlifting!
