Then, visit the spectacular hilltop citadel of Gremi, the former capital of the Kingdom of Kakheti and an important trading center along the historic Silk Road. The complex includes the Church of the Archangels, fortress walls, and a royal tower overlooking the breathtaking Alazani Valley.
