Start your journey in the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will be transported back in time. Visit the grand Cathedral of Évora, with its impressive Gothic architecture, and the emblematic Roman Temple, one of the best-preserved in the Iberian Peninsula. Reflect on the past in the mysterious Chapel of Bones, with walls lined with human bones, offering a fascinating and unique experience.
After exploring Évora’s historical treasures, enjoy a traditional Alentejo lunch at a local restaurant, where the rich flavors and fresh products of the region stand out.
In the afternoon, we will visit Cortiçarte, a family-run workshop dedicated to the art of cork. Here, you will learn about the cultural and ecological importance of cork in Portugal, witness the craftsmanship involved in transforming cork into everyday products, and discover why this sustainable material is one of the country’s greatest natural treasures.
Following this, we’ll dedicate our time to visiting a local winery, learning about its rich history and wine-making process, and concluding with a delightful wine and gastronomic tasting experience. During the visit to the estate, you will explore the journey from grape harvesting to aging in historic cellars.
The visit culminates with an exclusive wine tasting, where you will have the opportunity to taste award-winning labels. Immerse yourself in the aromas and complex flavors that reflect the unique terroir of Alentejo, while local experts share their deep knowledge of wine production and the viticultural tradition of the region.
