Your day begins with an early departure from Sofia as you travel through picturesque valleys and mountain landscapes toward the Seven Rila Lakes area, one of Bulgaria’s most iconic natural landmarks.

Take an optional chairlift ride above the pine forests to the high alpine zone, saving energy for the spectacular hiking route ahead. Follow your guide to two incredible viewpoints overlooking the glacial cirque of the Seven Rila Lakes.

From these panoramic spots, enjoy unforgettable views over several of the lakes, including Lower Lake, Fish Lake, and Shamrock Lake. See the surrounding alpine peaks rising dramatically above the cirque, including Lake Peak, Kaboul Peak, and Haramiya Peak.

During the hike, pass near Kidney Lake, where every summer the followers of the White Brotherhood gather to perform the famous spiritual dance Paneurhythmy. The hike is moderate and suitable for travelers with average fitness, offering plenty of time for photos and enjoying the alpine scenery.

After the mountain adventure, continue south with a short scenic drive toward the warm Mediterranean-influenced valley of the Struma River.
