DAY 1 – AFTER-DARK ROUTE FROM LA PAZ TO UYUNI
Set out from La Paz with check-in at the bus office at approximately 9:00 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., board the overnight bus bound for Uyuni and settle into a reclining seat with heating, an onboard restroom, and a polar blanket for the nighttime trip.
DAY 2 – WHITE HORIZONS, INCAHUASI & EVENING COLORS
Arrive in Uyuni at approximately 7:30 a.m. and meet our team at the bus office. You will then be escorted to a nearby café to rest and enjoy some free time. Later, continue to our office for check-in, meet your driver and guide, and receive a short briefing about the day's route before heading out.
Departure at 10:30 AM.
Railway Remains: – Explore the historic Train Cemetery and see its old locomotives, reminders of Uyuni's significant railway history.
Colchani Community: – Continue to this traditional community to learn about local salt-processing methods and browse handicrafts created from salt, alpaca wool, and llama wool.
Across the Uyuni Salt Flats: – Cross the immense white landscape and stop at the Saltwater Eyes, Playa Blanca, Salt Hotel Museum, Flags of the World, and the famous Dakar Monument.
Incahuasi Island: – Follow trails among towering cacti and ancient coral formations while admiring expansive views across the surrounding salt flats.
Creative Perspective Photos: – Use the seemingly endless horizon to create playful optical illusions and distinctive perspective photographs.
Colors of Sunset: – Observe the white landscape take on the colors of the evening while enjoying wine and chips. Once the sunset stop concludes, make your way back to our office in Uyuni.
Evening Return to Uyuni: – Arrive at our Uyuni office at approximately 7:30 p.m., bringing your unforgettable full-day adventure to a close.
