Uyuni Salt Flat Bike Ride: Lunch, Sunset, Wine Toast

Explore the world's largest salt desert and its attractions. Enjoy the experience of riding a bike at high speed on a completely flat surface without any obstacles. Ride without brakes!
We start this wonderful experience from our office in the city of Uyuni at 10:30 am.

Before arriving at the Salar to enjoy our cycling experience, we'll first visit the famous Train Cemetery, located in the city of Uyuni. These historic 19th-century railway ruins are a fascinating and nostalgic place, ideal for taking unforgettable photographs.

Local Tradition:

When we're very close to the salt flat, we'll make a short stop in the community of Colchani to learn about the traditional methods of salt processing and explore its typical handicraft market, where you can pick up some nice souvenirs.

We have arrived at the Salar:

We finally enter the white plain of the Salar to discover the springs known as the "Ojos del Salar" and the emblematic and historic Hotel de Sal Playa Blanca, which today functions as a museum. At the same place, you will see some landmarks such as the Dakar Monument and the colorful Plaza de las Banderas, where all the flags of the world left by many tourists representing their country are displayed.

Time to relax a bit before the bike ride:

Enjoy a hearty picnic-style lunch in the middle of the impressive and dazzling white plain of the Salar.

Bike ride:

Now that you're rested and well fed, it's time to grab the bikes and unleash your energy. Pedal as fast as you can without worrying, because you'll have thousands of kilometers without any obstacles to ride and ride. Or, if you prefer, just enjoy the immense 360° view of the Salar and take fun photos and videos in perspective with the help of our tour guide/driver, who is an expert in taking fun photos.

Incahuasi Island:

You can't leave without seeing the incredible Incahuasi Island, located in the heart of the Salar, where the famous giant cacti that can measure up to 20 meters live. If you like, you can climb to the top via a marked path. To do this, you need to pay a local entry fee of approximately $5USD. (Note: The visit to the island is only available from April to December, as admission is restricted from January to March due to the high accumulation of water during the rainy season. Sometimes it can be extended until April. If this is the case, you can request a full refund with complete security and guarantee).

Magnificent Sunset and Toast:

As dusk approaches, it's time to watch the sky change colors and admire this wonderful phenomenon while enjoying a select platter of snacks accompanied by a delicious wine. You can also take another bike ride while watching the sun go down.

End of the sightseeing tour:

After experiencing a beautiful day in the impressive Uyuni Salt Flat, it's time to return to the city of Uyuni, where the sightseeing tour ends at approximately 7:30 PM.
