Sensory Botanical Experience in Paraty

We invite you to a day of discovery and connection with nature on the Praia do Rosa trail in Paraty. A true immersion into the kingdoms of fungi and edible plants, featuring tastings, learning moments, and sensory experiences. Three hours to slow down, breathe, and be enchanted by the wisdom of nature.

The activity will be led by Jorge Ferreira, a self-taught botanist and biodiversity researcher whose experience weaves together family traditions, scientific knowledge, and direct observation of nature. You will learn how to identify edible wild plants (PANCs) and fungi from the Atlantic Forest, understanding their traditional and medicinal uses, gastronomic potential, and ecological importance.

The trail is of moderate difficulty, passing through dense forest areas and offering breathtaking views of Paraty Bay. Access to Praia do Rosa (the final destination) is only possible via the trail and takes approximately 40 minutes. The meeting point is located 15 km from downtown Paraty.

Recommended: comfortable footwear, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
If you wish to stay at the beach after the activity, we recommend bringing water and a snack, as there are no local shops.
