INFORMAZIONI IMPORTANTI
Please note that the Snow Monkey Park is not a zoo — the monkeys live freely in the mountains and come to the hot spring area naturally. Their appearance depends on weather, temperature, and season. Especially during September, October, and November, the number of monkeys around the hot spring may be limited.
The walking path to the park is about 1.6 km (1 mile) each way and can be slippery or snowy in winter, so please wear comfortable, non-slip shoes and warm clothing suitable for mountain weather. In summer, light breathable clothes are recommended.
When visiting the onsen, remember that the water is naturally very hot (around 42°C / 108°F), and swimsuits are not allowed according to Japanese custom. Separate facilities are available for men and women.
This experience is designed for those who wish to enjoy nature, local culture, and relaxation — not a controlled wildlife show. Please come with an open mind and a spirit of exploration.
