Learn French every morning with the same teacher and the same small class of 50+ learners, then discover Provence's culture four afternoons a week, staying in your own studio.
This week in Antibes is designed for learners aged 50 and over who want to make real progress in French while enjoying the art de vivre of the Riviera. Every weekday morning from 9:00 to 12:20 you take four 45-minute French lessons, twenty over the week, at the Centre International d'Antibes, a few minutes from the old town and the Mediterranean. Your class brings together no more than twelve participants aged 50+, at the same level, and keeps the same teacher from Monday to Friday. Your teacher gets to know each of you, follows your progress day by day and adapts the lessons to the group, so you feel at ease from the very first morning. Teaching follows the active method the school has refined since 1985: speaking first, then listening, writing, grammar and pronunciation. The school holds the Qualité FLE label and EAQUALS membership. Four afternoons a week are devoted to French culture and the Provençal way of life. A typical week may include a game of pétanque, a Provençal cooking workshop, a tasting of local produce, a cinema or theatre session, a walk along the coastal path, and excursions to Grasse, the world capital of perfume, the hilltop village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence or Cannes. The programme changes from week to week with the season, and everything is done in French at a pace suited to your level. You stay in a private, fully renovated studio about 15 minutes' walk from the school, with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a kitchenette, laundry facilities and access to a garden. The week ends with a certificate of attendance.

Courses start on Mondays on set dates throughout the year. Complete beginners start on specific dates.
You will receive an online placement test to complete before you arrive, so that you join the right class on the first morning.
On the first day, please arrive at 8:45 for registration.
Lessons run Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 12:20. The four cultural activities take place in the afternoon, on days that vary from week to week.
The programme of activities changes with the season.
The studio is about a 15-minute walk from the school. Check-in details are sent after booking.
