Originally built in the late 19th century to transport iron ore from Kiruna’s mines to Narvik’s ice-free port, this railway played a crucial role during World War II, particularly in the Battle of Narvik. Today, the Ofoten Line is both a vital transport route and a must-do tourist attraction.
Departing from the train station in Narvik, we will take you on a fantastic train journey. Travel through majestic Arctic landscapes, crossing tunnels, bridges, and steep inclines with panoramic views of fjords, mountains, and waterfalls.
