Nairobi: 3-Day Lake Nakuru, Hell’s Gate & Naivasha Safari

Explore Lake Nakuru, Hell’s Gate, and Lake Naivasha on a 3-day safari from Nairobi. Enjoy game drives, a cycling safari, a geothermal spa, a boat ride, and a walking safari on Crescent Island.
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park – Naivasha

Begin your adventure with a morning pickup from your hotel in Nairobi. Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, stopping at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for scenic views and photos.

Enter Lake Nakuru National Park and begin a game drive. Explore the park in search of rhinos, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, and other wildlife. The game drive also takes you around the shores of Lake Nakuru, where you can see different bird species.

Have lunch at a lodge or restaurant in Nakuru. Continue with the game drive before exiting the park and driving to Naivasha. Arrive in Naivasha, check in at the hotel, and relax.

Day 2: Hell’s Gate National Park – Cycling – Gorge Walk – Geothermal Spa

Have breakfast at the hotel before departing for Hell’s Gate National Park. Enter Hell’s Gate National Park and begin a cycling safari through the park. Cycle through the open landscape while looking out for zebras, giraffes, gazelles, and other wildlife.

Continue to Hell’s Gate Gorge for a guided walk through the dramatic cliffs and volcanic formations. Have lunch in the Hell’s Gate/Naivasha area. Proceed to the Olkaria Geothermal Spa for time to relax in the naturally heated geothermal pools. After the spa experience, return to your hotel in Naivasha.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Boat Ride – Crescent Island – Nairobi

Enjoy breakfast and check out of the hotel. Head to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride across the lake. During the excursion, look out for hippos and a variety of water birds while enjoying views of the surrounding landscape.

Continue to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari. Walk among giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, and other wildlife in the open sanctuary. After the Crescent Island experience, have lunch at Lake Naivasha Crescent Hotel. Begin the drive back to Nairobi.
