Your journey in a comfortable, air-conditioned van begins with an excursion to the absolute highlights of Bad Dürkheim. Our first destination is the impressive salt works. During a short walk along the historic graduation house, you'll breathe in the soothing, salty breeze and learn why this building is also known as the "Balcony of the Palatinate." Right next door, a real monument awaits you: the world-famous Dürkheim Giant Barrel. You will learn the curious story of this architectural wine monument, which has space for an entire restaurant.


After this historic start, we leave the town behind and set off on a fantastic panoramic drive along the Southern Wine Route. The route to Edenkoben takes us past gentle vineyard hills and idyllic winegrower villages. We change trains near the royal Villa Ludwigshöhe: The historic Rietburgbahn takes us on a relaxed, suspended ride with the chairlift up to the historic ruins of Rietburg. Once at the top, every connoisseur's heart beats faster. In the traditional Rietburg mountain restaurant, you can feast to your heart's content. While you enjoy hearty Palatinate specialties and a good glass of wine, the entire Rhine plain lies at your feet on the spacious open-air terrace. With this gigantic view, you can relax before we begin the relaxed return journey together in the afternoon after an eventful few hours.
