2D1N Senaru Crater Rim & Second Summit Rinjani

This route is perfectly suited for beginner hikers with limited mountain trekking experience, as well as families with children who wish to enjoy a camping adventure together.

From the trailhead to the campsite, the journey takes approximately 7 hours along a beautifully cool and refreshing path. The stretch from the entrance all the way to Post 3 winds through lush tropical rainforest, and we usually stop for a picnic lunch along the way. You will typically arrive at the campsite by 4:00–5:00 PM, where we spend the night at Pelawangan Senaru.

Day 2
For those wishing to reach Rinjani’s Second Summit, please rise early at 3:00 AM. After a light breakfast at 3:30 AM, we set off upward to chase the sunrise, reaching the summit by roughly 5:30 AM. After enjoying the sunrise and views, we descend back to the campsite for a proper breakfast before beginning our return journey to Senaru Village along the same trail. The descent takes about 6 hours—including a lunch stop at Post 1—and we generally arrive back in Senaru Village around 2:00–3:00 PM.
