Santorini: Volcano and Hot Springs Boat Tour

Discover the volcano of Santorini on a guided boat tour. Hike to the top of the crater, swim in the hot springs of Palea Kameni, and enjoy stunning views of the island.
Begin your tour at the old port of Fira and set sail for the volcano. The journey from the old port of Fira to the volcano will take approximately 15 minutes. The boat will stop at one of the two piers near the volcano. Listen to your tour escort, as they will inform you about the specific departure time, the name of your boat, and the pier where the boat will be located during your visit.

Before disembarking from the boat, make sure you have the necessary items with you. It is recommended to bring a sun hat to protect yourself from the sun, wear comfortable shoes suitable for hiking, and carry a bottle of water to stay hydrated. To access the volcano, there is usually an entrance fee of 5€ per person. Make sure to have the required amount ready to pay at the entrance.

Accompanied by your tour escort, begin walking along the volcanic path that leads to the top of the volcano. Once you reach the top of the volcano, take some time to enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area. You can explore the volcanic landscape, observe the unique formations, and immerse yourself in the extraordinary environment.

After spending an allocated amount of time at the volcano, your tour escort will instruct you to return to the boat. Follow their guidance and make your way back along the volcanic path. Once everyone is back on board, the boat will depart from the volcano, concluding your visit. Take this opportunity to relax, enjoy the scenery, and perhaps reflect on the unique experience you’ve had.

After the visit to the volcano, the boat will proceed to the next destination, the island of Palea Kameni, where the hot springs are located. The journey from the volcano to the hot springs will be relatively short. The boat will anchor on the west side of the island, where the famous hot springs are situated. Prepare yourself for a unique and relaxing experience in the thermal waters.

You will have approximately 30 minutes to enjoy the hot springs. The waters in the hot springs are known for their thermal properties and are mixed with sulfur, iron, and other minerals originating from the volcano.
