Start your morning with an 08:00 hotel pickup in Yogyakarta and head to the historic district of Kotagede, once the heart of the Mataram Kingdom. From the House of Kotagede, you’ll hop on a traditional becak (cycle rickshaw) and glide through charming lanes where time seems to slow down. Your first stop is a local baker famous for the delicate Kembang Waru cake—watch the process and enjoy a freshly made taste of Kotagede’s sweetest tradition.

Next, dive into local daily life at Pasar Legi Kotagede, one of Yogyakarta’s oldest traditional markets.
