Day 1: Into the Sacred Realm
Your adventure begins with a stress-free pickup from Tokyo or a meeting at our Gotemba Operations HQ. At our dedicated base, we provide professional gear fitting, safety briefings, and secure storage for your extra luggage. Once prepared, we head to the trailhead to begin our ascent.

Leaving the crowds of the lower stations behind, you will trek through the dramatic volcanic landscapes of the Fujinomiya trail. As you climb above the clouds, your multilingual guide will share insights into the mountain’s unique geology and its role as a sacred site in Japanese culture. Weather permitting, we explore the Hoei Crater, a massive volcanic moonscape that offers a perspective of the mountain few travelers ever see.

A Night Above the World
We conclude Day 1 at one of Japan’s highest mountain huts, situated near the crater rim. Staying at this altitude is a strategic advantage—it allows for more rest and a much shorter final ascent in the early hours of the morning. Enjoy a hot, traditional mountain dinner before settling in for a few hours of sleep as the stars emerge over the Japanese Alps.

Day 2: The Summit Push & The Goraikō
Wake up in the quiet, thin air of the high mountain. Under the light of headlamps, we make the final 20-minute push to the true summit peak. Standing at 3,776 meters, you will witness the Goraikō—the breathtaking moment the sun rises over the Pacific horizon, painting the clouds in shades of gold and crimson.
