Descrizione
Walk lakeside villages on foot. Watch nets repaired, shop craft markets, meet families. Share tilapia lunch with hosts & hear Luo stories. 60% of fees support local kids centre.
See Lake Victoria from two sides: on the water and on land. Start with a scenic boat ride along the shoreline, then walk through a Luo fishing village with a local host. This is a relaxed 3 hours tour designed for travelers who want lake views, fresh air, and real community connection.
We meet at a small lakeside landing where your captain welcomes you aboard a covered motorboat. For the next 60–75 minutes you’ll glide across calm inlets, watch fishers at work, and see birdlife along the papyrus reeds. Keep your camera ready for sunset light over Africa’s largest lake. Your guide will point out villages, islands, and daily lake routines as you pass by. Life jackets are provided and all safety gear is onboard.
After docking, we walk 10 minutes into a nearby lakeside village. Here the pace slows down. Stroll shaded paths with your guide and meet local artisans at craft stalls. See beadwork, recycled-material art, and handmade baskets. You’re welcome to watch, ask questions, and support makers directly. We’ll also pass market corners and net-mending areas where you can learn how daily life revolves around the lake without stepping onto private property.
The walk ends at a community viewpoint overlooking the water. This is a good spot for photos, quiet reflection, and stories about Luo heritage, music, and lake traditions from your host.
