This 4-day, 3-night tour of Chiapas offers a complete experience to explore the region's natural and cultural beauty. From a boat tour through the Sumidero Canyon to a visit to the Montebello Lakes, passing by the majestic Agua Azul and Misol-Ha waterfalls, each day is designed to discover breathtaking landscapes. It also includes visits to indigenous communities such as San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, as well as a tour of the Archaeological Zone of Palenque, home to the tomb of King Pakal and other Mayan remains. With accommodation in 4-star hotels, breakfasts included, and convenient transfers, this tour guarantees an enriching and well-organized experience.
Day 1: Sumidero Canyon, Chiapa de Corzo, and San Cristóbal de las Casas We'll meet you at the airport or bus terminal in Tuxtla Gutiérrez and start with a spectacular boat tour of the Sumidero Canyon, admiring its imposing walls almost 1,000 meters high. Next, we'll explore Chiapa de Corzo, a magical town with its iconic Mudejar-style colonial fountain. Finally, we'll head to San Cristóbal de las Casas, where you'll spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Day 2: El Chiflón Waterfall and Montebello Lakes After a delicious breakfast, we'll head to El Chiflón Waterfall, an impressive 180-meter-high waterfall surrounded by lush vegetation. Then, we'll visit the Montebello Lakes, where you can admire crystal-clear bodies of water with turquoise and green tones, surrounded by a beautiful forest. At the end of the day, we'll head back to San Cristóbal de las Casas.
Day 3: Indigenous Communities, Agua Azul and Misol-Ha Waterfalls, Palenque This day kicks off with a visit to the indigenous communities of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, where you'll learn about their ancestral traditions. Then, we'll head to the Agua Azul Waterfalls, famous for their turquoise blue tones, and the Misol-Ha Waterfall, a beautiful 40-meter-high cascade. We'll end the day with a transfer to Palenque, where you'll spend the night.
Day 4: Palenque Archaeological Zone and return to Tuxtla Gutiérrez After breakfast, we'll explore the archaeological zone of Palenque, an ancient Mayan city where you can admire temples and palaces, including the tomb of King Pakal. In the afternoon, we'll transfer you to Villahermosa Airport, Tabasco, to catch your return flight (we suggest flights after 3:00 p.m.).
