Day 1: Palenque – Yaxchilán – Bonampak – Lacanja.

5:30 AM – Departure from Palenque:
Begin your trip with departure from your hotel in Palenque.
Travel to Frontera Corozal, enjoying panoramic views along the way.

7:20 AM – Buffet breakfast:
Finish recharging your batteries with a delicious breakfast buffet, where you can enjoy eggs cooked to your liking, natural juices, seasonal fruit, coffee, milk, and more.

10:00 a.m. – Boat ride on the Usumacinta River:
Embark on a 40-minute boat ride along the Usumacinta River, the natural border between Mexico and Guatemala.
Spot exotic birds, monkeys, and possibly crocodiles as you cruise down the river.

10:40 a.m. – Explore Yaxchilán (2-hour visit):
Arrive in Yaxchilán, an important Mayan city known for its impressive stone sculptures and rich history.
Explore the ancient ruins, temples, and stelae, and learn about the city's importance between 600 and 900 AD.

1:30 PM – Break for lunch:
Enjoy lunch in the quiet community of Frontera Corozal.

3:00 PM – Visit to Bonampak (1-hour visit):
Travel to Bonampak, famous for its ancient murals that vividly depict Mayan life.
Tour the site, marveling at the colorful murals and grand structures.

5:00 PM – Arrival at the camp site in Lacanaja.
Continue your journey to Lacanja, a Lacandon community.
Check in to the rustic cabins nestled in the middle of the rainforest.

7:00 PM – Dinner and overnight stay:
Enjoy a traditional dinner and relax in your cabin, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Day 2: Lacanja Cabins – Jungle Trekking – Drop-off in Palenque

08:00 – Breakfast:
Start your day with breakfast in Lacanja.

09:00 – Start of the jungle trekking:
Embark on a guided hike through the jungle with a native Lacandon guide.
Explore a small part of the dense Lacandon Jungle, which covers 900 hectares.
Observe the incredible flora and fauna of the jungle, cross streams, discover hidden waterfalls, and find ancient Mayan remains. See monkeys, birds, snakes, insects, and sometimes we can find jaguar tracks and many more animals.

14:00 – Lunch:
Return to Lacanja to enjoy a traditional meal and reflect on the morning's adventures. You'll have time to swim in a stream that passes near the camp.

5:00 PM – Departure from Lacanja:
Start your journey back to Palenque, enjoying the scenic drive through the rainforest.

9:00 PM – Arrive in Palenque:
Drop-off at your hotel in Palenque to conclude your enriching two-day adventure.
