Begin your adventure with a scenic cable car ride to the top of Chandragiri Hill. As you ascend, enjoy views of the dense forest below and the Kathmandu Valley. At the summit, visit the holy Bhaleswor Mahadev Temple, a popular pilgrimage site.
After spending time at the temple, descend the hill and head to the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. Climb the stairs to reach the stupa and take in the peaceful aura of this Buddhist site. Explore the area, visit shops selling paintings and artifacts, and enjoy panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley.
At the base of the Swayambhunath Temple, try traditional Tibetan food items like Laphing, Keema Noodles, and Dumplings.
Chandragiri Hills & Swayambhunath Day Tour
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Chandragiri Hills Cable Car Ride
Meet at the Chandragiri cable car base. Ride the cable car to the hilltop, visit Bhaleswor Mahadev Temple, enjoy panoramic views, and take photos before returning by cable car.
