Discover the parks, castle grounds, and paths of Oslo Fjord, and learn where to find the city’s best bars and restaurants from an expert guide. **For winter tours, see below.** Depart from the Viking Biking headquarters, an easy 10-minute walk from Oslo's central station, and cycle on comfortable bikes to the pedestrianized City Hall Square, the site of the annual Nobel Peace Prize ceremony. Enjoy an easy ride to Christianias Torv and hear about the influence of King Christian IV and how Oslo changed after the great fire of 1624. Continue to the Medieval and Renaissance castle of Akershus Festning, and climb off your bike for a brief walk along the ramparts. Then, ride down Karl Johans Gate, the most famous boulevard in Norway, visiting the Parliament, National Theater, University, and Royal Palace. After a charming downhill ride through the Royal Palace gardens, cycle through the beautiful neoclassical neighborhood of Frogner, making your way to the world-famous Frogner Sculpture Park. End with a long downhill ride to Oslo Fjord to visit a hidden jewel of a building built over the fjord. A final ride through the pedestrian shopping district of Aker Brygge brings you back to the Viking Biking store and the end of your tour.

*Please be aware that both the Electric and Standard Oslo Highlights tours are combined. If you have members of your group that do not wish to use an electric bike, they just need to book through our Oslo: 3-Hour Highlights Bike Tour for the same date and time and you will be on the bike tour together!

As per our policy, electric bikes can only be booked by people 16 years or older and you must wear a helmet.

**From 01 November 2024 – 28 February 2025 this option is not available due to winter weather conditions in the city.
Still interested in booking a bike tour in to the colder months? No problem! We equip our standard bikes with spiked tires so that we can explore Oslo’s sights safely. Sites visited can change based on weather and seasonal activities such as Christmas markets, and are chosen by our guides based on being safely accessible.

Please note that this winter tour is recommended only for individuals with cycling experience and is only available to those over the age of 12. See our Oslo: 3-Hour Highlights Bike Tour to book.
