The Experience
Your visit begins in the butterfly garden, a lush tropical space where native species fly freely all around you. Unlike a zoo enclosure or a glass display case, this is an open, planted environment where butterflies move at their own pace, and they have a habit of landing on visitors without any warning. Give it a few minutes and most people stop trying to take photos and just start watching.
The garden is planted with the specific host plants each species needs to feed and breed, which is why you'll see so much activity. This isn't decoration; every plant in the space is doing a job.

From the garden, your guide takes you through to the laboratory, which is where the tour gets genuinely surprising for most visitors. This is a working butterfly breeding facility, and depending on the day you'll see eggs, caterpillars at various stages of growth, and pupae in the process of transforming. Seeing a chrysalis up close, often described as jewel-like, is one of those things that's hard to explain but easy to remember. If you're lucky with timing, you may even see an adult butterfly emerging.
