Combine culture and adventure on a 2-day trip from Huaraz. Explore Chavín de Huántar and enjoy a hike to the spectacular Laguna 69, surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca.
Discover two different experiences from Huaraz on a 2-day combo that combines archaeology, Andean culture, and adventure in the Cordillera Blanca. Explore the legacy of the ancient Chavín culture and hike to the famous Laguna 69.

Day 1 – Chavín de Huántar:
Travel to the Archaeological Landmark of Chavín de Huántar, visiting Lake Querococha and the Kawish Tunnel along the way. Explore the plazas, underground galleries, and stone artifacts of the complex, such as the Cabeza Clava and the Lanzón de Chavín. Wrap up with a visit to the National Museum of Chavín before returning to Huaraz.

Day 2 – Laguna 69:
Depart early from Huaraz to the Cebollapampa area, passing through the Yungay region and stopping at Llanganuco Lake. From Cebollapampa, you'll start an approximately 3-hour hike to Laguna 69, located at about 4,400 meters above sea level, with views of the snow-capped Huascarán, Chopicalqui, Pisco, and Chacraraju mountains.

Important: The hike to Laguna 69 is physically demanding and takes place at high altitude. It is recommended that you bring water, clothing suitable for the mountains, sunscreen, and food for the hike.

** The meeting point to start the sightseeing tour will be at our office at Jr. José de Sucre No. 723 (next to BBVA Bank, Plaza de Armas) or pick-up from your accommodation by prior arrangement. **Bring snacks and fruit, as there are no restaurants along the route for lunch. **Approx. 6 hours of hiking / good physical condition required. ** The activity ends with a transfer to our operator's offices (near the square). It does not include a drop-off at the hotel.
