Huaraz: Full Day Nevado Pastoruri + Sparkling Waters

Join us on a spectacular tour to Nevado Pastoruri! We will begin our adventure in the majestic Huascaran National Park, a natural paradise that is home to a rich biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes. Here, you will feel surrounded by the grandeur of the Andes.

Our first stop will be the beautiful Pato Cocha Lagoon, a serene corner where the crystal clear waters reflect the mountains, perfect for relaxing and capturing unforgettable moments. Then, you will visit the sparkling waters, a wonderful natural phenomenon.

Next, you will marvel at the impressive Puyas Raimondi, emblematic plants that grow at extreme altitudes and are a symbol of the Andean flora. Afterwards, we will visit the enchanting Pumapashimi Lagoon, a place of unique beauty and tranquility.

Finally, we will arrive at the imposing Nevado Pastoruri, where you can admire the glaciers and live an experience that will leave you breathless.

ITINERARY:

Between 08:00 and 08:30 am we leave the city of Huaraz passing through the south of the Callejón de Huaylas, we will pass through cattle and mining towns such as: Recuay (3394 masl), Ticapampa (3456 masl) and Cátac (3500 masl). We will take the detour to the Pachacoto ravine where the tour begins through an affirmed trail, we will arrive to the Carpa section and we will know the Patacocha lagoon and we will observe wild ducks like the Yanavico (migratory bird), Tacama and Chirito, we will observe the spring of sparkling waters of Pumapampa.

The tour continues, we will visit the Pumapa-Simin lagoon named for its resemblance to the mouth of the puma, is a lake of 7 colors caused by algae and sunlight. The Puya Raimondi (the most beautiful exponent of high Andean flora, pineapple family, is the largest bromeliad, grows up to 11 meters, blooms between 75 to 100 years old and then dies), and rock art paintings. We will walk for 45 minutes to visit the Pastoruri snow-capped mountain.
