Yanahuara Viewpoint

We begin our sightseeing tour at the traditional Yanahuara Viewpoint, one of the most iconic spots in the city. From here, you'll enjoy panoramic views of the beautiful countryside and the majestic Misti Volcano.

Take your time to capture incredible photos, stroll through the charming colonial square, and taste the famous queso helado, a traditional local dessert.

Añashuayco Quarry (Ashlar Route)

We continue to the impressive Añashuayco Quarry, where you'll discover the origin of sillar, the white volcanic stone that gave Arequipa its nickname, "The White City."

Here, admire a massive stone carving of the façade of the Church of the Society of Jesus, created by skilled local stonemasons. You'll also have the chance to interact with them, learn about their traditional techniques, and even try carving your own piece of stone.

️ Culebrillas Canyon

We finish with a short hike (approx. 20 minutes) through the fascinating Culebrillas Canyon. As you walk deeper into the canyon, its walls gradually rise, creating a striking natural landscape.

Along the way, you'll see ancient petroglyphs and traditional apachetas—stone formations symbolizing gratitude to nature and believed to bring good energy. A perfect place to connect with Andean culture and spirituality.

End of the Sightseeing Tour

At 12:30 PM, we begin our return journey to Arequipa, enjoying the final views of the surrounding landscapes.

The sightseeing tour ends near Plaza de Armas in Arequipa, in the city center.
