Descrizione

Experience an authentic day in the Parcarhuasi community. Learn the secrets of Andean weaving with master artisans and help prepare the "Pachamanca," an ancient millennial feast.
Embark on a journey to the heart of the Andes in the community of Parcarhuasi. This isn't just a tourist excursion; it's an invitation to be part of our daily life and our most sacred traditions.
Your day will start with a warm welcome from the local families. The first part of our adventure will be the Pachamanca ritual. You'll learn that the Pachamanca is much more than food; it's a tribute to the "Pachamama" (Mother Earth). You'll participate in the ancestral process: From heating volcanic stones to carefully burying ingredients seasoned with herbs from our own gardens.
While the earth works its magic and cooks our feast, we'll immerse ourselves in the art of textiles. The master artisans of Parcarhuasi will show you how we transform raw wool into works of art. You'll see the hand-spinning process and discover the secrets of natural dyes obtained from local plants and flowers. You'll have the chance to sit at a traditional loom and feel the rhythm of the threads under the guidance of expert hands.
To round off the morning, we'll take a leisurely stroll through our platforms
(Pre-Inca agricultural terraces). You can walk along the stream that crosses our community and breathe the fresh mountain air before the big moment.
Finally, we'll participate in the "oven opening." The aroma that emanates from the earth is unparalleled. We'll share a communal table to enjoy the freshly cooked Pachamanca, accompanied by traditional sauces and the hospitality that characterizes our people. You'll leave Parcarhuasi not as a tourist, but as a friend of the community.
