From Lima: Paracas & Huacachina Day Trip with Photo

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Lima at approximately 4:30 AM. Meet your guide and board the tourist transportation for your journey south toward Paracas. Your guide will provide the necessary information for the day and remain available to assist you throughout the experience.

Travel along the Pan-American Highway South for approximately 3.5 hours, enjoying views of Peru’s coastal landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Paracas, board a boat for an excursion to the Ballestas Islands. Observe sea lions, Humboldt penguins, guano birds, and other marine wildlife in their natural environment. From the boat, you will also see the famous Candelabra geoglyph.

Your guide will provide information about the wildlife and surroundings and can assist you in identifying good opportunities for photographs during the excursion. Enjoy free time in Paracas to explore the waterfront, relax, have a snack, or take photographs of the coastal scenery. Your guide can suggest scenic locations and help you capture memorable photos during your free time.

Continue your journey toward Huacachina, approximately 1 hour from Paracas. Arrive at the famous desert oasis surrounded by impressive sand dunes. Experience an exciting buggy ride through the Huacachina dunes. Enjoy the changing desert landscapes and panoramic views before stopping at suitable locations to experience sandboarding. Your guide will remain available to assist you and help you make the most of the experience.

Enjoy free time around the oasis and its surroundings. Take photographs of the lagoon, palm trees, dunes, and desert landscape. Your guide can recommend scenic viewpoints and assist with taking photos so you can capture memorable moments of your visit. After completing the activities, begin the journey back to Lima in tourist transportation. Arrival in Lima is expected between approximately 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM, depending on traffic and local conditions.
