Sail the Untouched Heart of Palawan
Discover one of the Philippines' most extraordinary island adventures — a 3-day, 2-night boat expedition through the remote, unspoiled islands of Linapacan and Culion, nestled halfway between El Nido and Coron in northern Palawan — far from mass tourism, far from the ordinary.

What Awaits You
Palawan is home to some of the world's most pristine marine ecosystems, and Keelooma's expedition takes you straight to its wild, undeveloped heart. Snorkel over vibrant coral reefs and historic shipwrecks teeming with marine life. Sunbathe on powdery white sand beaches. Trek jungle trails winding through coconut forests, quiet fishing villages, and hilltop viewpoints offering sweeping panoramas of the sea. As the sun sets over your beachfront base camp, gather for alfresco dinners of freshly caught seafood — then sleep under a sky full of stars in a traditional open-air bahay kubo. This is island life, raw and real.

Ride a Traditional Bangka
No vessel is more deeply woven into Filipino identity than the bangka. These elegant outrigger boats — their twin bamboo arms called katig stretching wide across the water like wings — have carried Filipino coastal communities across the archipelago for centuries. Aboard Keelooma's traditional bangka, you travel not just between islands, but through living history — propelled across the sea the same way generations before you have been. The gentle roll of the hull, the spray of open water: this is how Palawan was meant to be explored

Dance the Tinikling
Join Keelooma's Cultural dancers for an introduction to the tinikling — the Philippines' national folk dance. Named after the tikling bird, dancers leap and weave between clapping bamboo poles with extraordinary agility. It's joyful, hilarious, and deeply communal — a perfect reflection of the Filipino spirit: warm, playful, and always welcoming. No experience needed. Just bare feet.

Ride a Jeepney
No journey through the Philippines is complete without a jeepney ride. Originally repurposed from US military jeeps after World War II, jeepneys were transformed by Filipino ingenuity into something uniquely their own — elaborately decorated with chrome horses, religious icons, neon lights, and hand-painted murals celebrating family, faith, and hometown pride. They became the backbone of Philippine public transport and one of the country's most recognisable cultural symbols. Climb aboard for a ride through the local community: loud, colourful, and joyful.

Sleep in a Bahay Kubo
Built from wood with a nipa roof, the bahay kubo is an icon of Philippine architecture. Open-concept and naturally ventilated by the steady breeze, each kubo embodies the Filipino values of communal living and sustainable simplicity.

Farm-to-Sea Dining
Fresh catch and locally sourced produce form every meal — on deck or under the stars at base camp. Three meals daily included, plus coffee, tea, and water. Coconuts, soft drinks, and alcohol available separately.

Pack a dry bag. Protect your electronics, phone, and valuables from sea spray and the occasional splash. It's the one essential a sea expedition won't forgive you for forgetting.

Off-season means dramatic skies, fewer crowds, and the occasional change of plan. The best moments are usually unplanned.
Expect no mobile signal but hope for some.
Freshwater showers are tabo style — communal and cold. The views, however, are outstanding.
Attend your pre-departure briefing. Hear the plan, get your questions answered. Don't skip it.
Consider tipping your crew. They cook, navigate, and make it all feel effortless — a gesture they'll appreciate.

Embrace the simplicity — the kubo, the bucket shower, the communal table, the sound of the sea. The less you bring, the more you'll feel it.
