Lobosonda was the first partner of the WCA in Madeira recognized as a Respectful whale watching company. The motto is: we are the guests out there, so behave accordingly. Also on the tours there is a chance, if the weather allows, to use hydrophones and listen to the marine sounds while enjoying a sighting.

We will meet for the safety briefing 30 minutes prior to the tour in our shop, in the harbor of Calheta

  • Expert crew and marine biologists on board.
  • Small-group tour for a more personal and uncrowded experience (maximum 18 pax).
  • Premium RIB boat with advanced Ullman suspension seating for extra comfort.
  • Safety briefing and guidance from the crew before departure.
  • Use of onboard hydrophones (weather and sea conditions permitting) to listen to marine life.
  • Fuel and all operational costs included.

  • We don't guarantee wildlife sightings, as all marine animals are free and observed in their natural environment.
  • Refunds in case no wildlife is seen during the tour, as this is a nature-based experience dependent on sea conditions and animal movements.
